Signing in

brainattic uses OAuth 2.1 — the same secure sign-in standard your client already uses for its other connectors. Connecting happens in two moments:

  1. An admin adds brainattic once using the endpoint — no secret to paste (see Connect).
  2. Each person signs in with their own brainattic account the first time they use it, and approves access.

What approving grants. Your agent acts in your brainattic workspace, as you — it sees the documents your account can see, and nothing from other workspaces. Approval covers one thing, brainattic:access: working with your workspace's knowledge base under the rules set for it.

Per person, not shared. Because everyone authenticates individually, brainattic can only ever read or change what that person is allowed to. An admin adding the connector does not hand the whole team a shared key.

Turning it off. Remove or disable the connector in your client's connector settings at any time, or revoke brainattic's access from your brainattic account. Disconnecting stops all access immediately.
