Use ChatGPT with brainattic
A product discussion often starts with scattered context: an earlier decision, a constraint from support, and an implementation note. Connect ChatGPT to brainattic and ask it to find the team's maintained knowledge before you plan the next step. Each teammate signs in with their own brainattic account and can reach only the information that account is allowed to access. ChatGPT receives the context you request, under the privacy and workspace settings of the client you choose.
Bring decision context into planning
For example, ask ChatGPT:
- “What did we decide about onboarding, what constraints did Support record, and which implementation notes are still current? Show me the source documents.”
- “File an addendum to the onboarding decision with the chosen direction and the questions still open.”
This gives the team one place to check the decision and continue the discussion. Review saved changes and restore an earlier version when needed.
Your team decides who can read or change its knowledge and gives ChatGPT guidance on how it should be kept.
ChatGPT access and setup
OpenAI currently documents custom MCP servers on ChatGPT web. Workspace permissions and security restrictions apply to adding and using them. See OpenAI's current custom MCP guide for the supported setup in your workspace.
Connect ChatGPT
Use the connection overview for the endpoint, then follow the ChatGPT setup section. The ChatGPT section of the full brainattic guide is public to guests and contains the current sign-in flow. For a product workflow beyond this example, explore the quickstart and authentication guide.
